Ingredients (240 ml of cup used):

Ingredients for Doodh Peda:
  • 1-1/2 cups of khoya(200 grams)-Crumbled/gated.
  • 1 tsp of ghee.
  • 1/8 tsp of elaichi powder/cardamom powder.
  • 6-7 tsps of sugar+2 tsps of Milk or 1/2 Tin Condensed Milk.
  • 1 tsp of pistachios chopped for garnish.
  • 1 pinch of saffron strands.
How To Make The recipe:

Preparation for Doodh Peda:
  • First, bring khoya to room temperature.Crumble/grate it decently.
  • ON the stove, add khoya to a non-stick pan. Then add sugar &Milk/Condensed Milk along with elaichi powder &saffron.
How To Make Doodh Peda:
  • Mix well and begin to cook on a medium flame. The mixture melts.
  • Let it cook until the mixture thickens and becomes a mass. Do not overcook, it makes the recipe dry. Switch off and cool.
  • The total mixture looks very smooth on it's own. Don't disturb the mixture again.
  • Grease your palms decently and make 12 balls, Next flatten them slightly.
  • Insert the chopped pistachios in the center.
  • For making Chocolate Peda:-Add 1-1/2 tsps of cocoa to the cooked mixture and knead well.
  • Divide the total mixture to 12 equal sized balls&roll them to smooth and nice balls.
  • Refrigerate it and finally, our doodh peda is ready to serve with family and friends.
