Veg Pakora Recipe: Hi Foodies, here we come back with a new recipe in our Kitchen Recipes Book i.e, Veg Pakora Recipe. This recipe is one of the best recipe and as well as a quick recipe. This recipe contains chickpea flour/besan. Mostly it is the onions that are used to make pakora. But instead of that onion pakoda, we may also use potatoes, cabbage, and capsicum etc. 

These vegetable pakoras can be using via mixed veggies and leafy greens like palak. If you make it deep fry then it is crunchy otherwise not good. This recipe is an evening or weekend snack and it can be made easily even when you have relatives at home.

Ingredients (240 ml of cup used):

  • 1/4 cup of besan or gram flour.
  • 1/4 cup of rice flour/corn flour.
  • salt as needed.
  • 1/2 tsp of carom seeds.
  • Oil for deep frying.
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp of garam masala powder.
  • 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
  • Handfull of mint/pudina.
  • 3 green chilies (chopped).
Mixed Veggies Julienned 2-3 cups:
  • 1 medium carrot.
  • 1 medium sized onion(thinly sliced).
  • 6 french beans.
  • 1/4 cup of capsicum.
  • 1 cup of cabbage.
How To Make The Recipe:

Preparation For Veg Pakora Recipe:
  • First, wash all the veggies in running water and cut to thin 2 inch long strips.
  • And add them to a bowl along with ginger garlic, salt, chilies,garam masala, mint, and other herbs.
  • Mix well and squeeze them gently to release moisture, keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • And add flour along with ajwain. Mix well to make a nice dough. Adjust salt and add few tsps of water if needed to make a decent dough.
How To Make Pakora:
  • First, ON the stove and heat oil in a deep pan, When the oil is hot enough, drop a small amount of the dough after flattering a bit. Keep stirring well and fry on a medium heat until it turned to golden color.
  • Finish frying the dough in batches.
  • Finally, hot vegetable pakora is ready to serve.
