CHICKEN BURGER RECIPE | KFC STYLE CHICKEN BURGER | HOMEMADE CHICKEN BURGER OR ZINGER BURGER

Making Chicken burger at home is very easy. If you really want to do a recipe, then no need to worry about it. If you make the chicken burger at home no need many kinds of cooking skills and no need of expertise in cooking. Zinger burger is a kind of chicken burger sold by KFC that comes with the much more crunchy patty made of chicken breast or thigh.

One way is to use the ground chicken and the alternate way by using chicken breasts. I preferred chicken breasts only. In this post, I'm sharing how to make patty using breasts. You may also use chicken thighs.

INGREDIENTS(240 ml cup used):

  • 3 chicken breasts (chopped 5 to 6 about 500 grams)
  • 1/4 cup of curd/ yogurt (for brine)
  • 1/4 tsp allspice powder or pepper powder
  • 1 cup of water
  • salt as needed
  • 1 cup of rice or plain flour (prefer organic)
  • 6 burger buns
  • Oil for deep frying(as needed)
  • 1 egg (prefer organic only)
  • 1-1/4 cup of breadcrumbs
For Sauce:

  • 3/4 cup of hung curd/greek yogurt or mayo as needed
  • 2 to 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1-1/2 tsp of  mustard sauce (as needed)
  • 1/2 tsp of fresh pepper powder
  • salt (If you use hung curd)


For assembling:

  • 4 to 6 lettuce leaves (as needed)
  • Tomatoes deseeded and chopped into rings.

HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE:

Preparation:

  • Whisk together yogurt, salt, pepper powder or allspice and water. Wash and slice the chicken breasts if very large. I prefer the medium size.
  • Add them to the yogurt and water(buttermilk). Rest for overnight or at least 3 to 4 hours.
  • Mix and stir all together with the little bit of salt. red chili powder and flour.kept this aside.
  • Beat egg with 2 tbsp of water. Kept aside.
  • Drain the yogurt water from chicken and keep them in the flour and decently coat them well. Dip in the egg mixture and then roll in the crumbs of bread. Allow resting for 10 minutes.
  • Deep fry in hot oil on a medium high flame until golden color and cooked completely. Drain them on a Kitchen tissue.

Making chicken burger or zinger burger:

  • First, you should make the slices and toast the bun.place the patty, then lettuce and tomato. Prepare a sauce by mixing and stirring hung curd or mayo very well, olive oil, mustard powder, pepper, salt, and lemon juice.
  • Add this decently over the tomatoes.you can also add tomato ketchup. Place the other half of the bun.
  • Finally, Serve chicken burger immediately.
